A Love for Traveling

I’ve always had a passion for traveling and experiencing new cultures. Whether it’s trying local food, learning a new language, or connecting with people from different backgrounds, I love the way travel opens your mind and challenges your perspective. Exploring the world has taught me so much about empathy, curiosity, and the value of stepping outside your comfort zone.

Zanzibar, Africa

  • Traveled to Zanzibar with Give Volunteers for a two-week service trip
  • Taught English to local women in the village of Kairo, helping them build language skills for future opportunitiesGained a deeper appreciation for the role of education in empowerment and long-term change
  • Left with a renewed sense of gratitude and a desire to continue making a positive impact globally

Paris, France

  • Participated in the Carolina Global Launch program during my first semester of college
  • Studied abroad in Granada, Spain, immersing myself in Spanish culture and language
  • Took a weekend trip to Paris with friends, where we visited iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and Montmartre
  • Developed greater independence, adaptability, and a global perspective early in my college journey
